In short

  • Our guidance is free for students.
  • Universities may pay us when a student enrols. It never changes your fees.
  • Universities decide offers and UKVI decides visas; we cannot guarantee either.
  • Always check fees and requirements on the university’s website before you pay.

01About these terms

These terms apply when you use the Apply University website and services. They are between you and Apply University Ltd. By creating an account or booking a call, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy policy.

02What we do

We help international students choose UK courses and universities, prepare applications, and understand English, cost and visa requirements. Our guidance, application help and consultations are free for students.

How we are paid. Universities we work with may pay us a fee when a student we have helped enrols. The fee comes from the university, not from you, and does not change the tuition you pay. We will show you every suitable course we know about, not only those that pay us, and we will tell you if you ask whether we receive a fee from a particular university.

03What we cannot promise

Universities decide whether to make you an offer and whether to give you a scholarship. UK Visas and Immigration decides whether to grant a visa. We will give you our honest best advice, but we cannot guarantee an offer, a scholarship or a visa.

04Information on this website

Course fees, entry requirements, intakes, scholarships, living costs and visa figures on this site are a guide. They come from university and government websites and are checked regularly, but universities and the government change them.

Always confirm the current details on the university’s own website, and visa rules on gov.uk, before you pay a deposit or apply for a visa. Match scores and calculators are estimates to help you compare options, not advice that a particular outcome will happen.

05Your account

  • You need to be 16 or over to create an account.
  • Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • Your account is for you only. Anyone who can read your email can sign in, so keep your email account secure.
  • You can delete your account at any time in My plan → Account.
  • We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents us.

06Consultations

  • Consultations are free calls of about 30 minutes, shown in your time zone and held by an adviser working UK hours.
  • You can cancel at any time in My plan → Bookings. Please cancel if you cannot make it, so someone else can have the time.
  • Occasionally we may need to move a call. If so, we will contact you to agree a new time.
  • You can have up to three upcoming calls at once.

07What you send us

When you send us a CV, message or document, you confirm it is accurate and yours to share, and you allow us to use it to advise you and, when you ask, to apply on your behalf.

Do not send false or altered documents. If we believe a document is not genuine, we will stop working on the application and may have to tell the university concerned.

08Using the site fairly

Do not misuse the site: for example, do not try to get into other people’s accounts, overload or disrupt the site, copy large parts of our content or data automatically, or use the site for anything unlawful.

09Our content

The text, design, brand and tools on this site belong to Apply University or the people who license them to us. University names and logos belong to the universities. You may use the site for your own study planning; please ask before re-using our content elsewhere.

10Other websites

We link to university, government and other websites. We are not responsible for their content or how they use your data.

11Our responsibility to you

We provide our service with reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for decisions made by universities, UK Visas and Immigration or other organisations, or for losses caused by information on their websites changing.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected.

12Changes

We may update these terms, for example when we add features or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you have an account and the change matters, we will tell you by email.

13Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts. Before going to court, please use our complaints process.
